What is the school uniform?

We encourage all students to dress modestly to their level of comfort. Wearing hijab is encouraged for older students but not mandatory.

Who can join DNA?

We offer a unique space for students who often fall through the cracks of mainstream Islamic education spaces, including but not limited to: upbringing in inter-faith households, diverse learning needs, disabilities and mental health symptoms. DNA is a learning environment that is inclusive of children on the autism spectrum, facilitated by trauma-informed staff members.

What school of thought do you teach from?

We teach and embody the generic Islamic values on ethics and ethos. Whilst we draw primarily from Sunnah wal Jama’ah (Sunni Islam), we are open to educating Muslims from all schools of thought. Ultimately, we prioritise cultivating an overall love for Islam, teaching children and young people to be responsible global citizens and local Muslim representatives who will contribute to the betterment of their community and the world.

Who are your teachers/team members at DNA?

We are a team of Muslim professionals, DNA alumni and students studying full-time across the education, law, psychology, accounting, community arts and art therapy fields.
